Course Overview
In the worship setting, electric guitar is about way more than sick solos and shredding the guitar. It's about serving the moment - serving what God is doing in the hearts and minds of those who are there to worship HIM.
In this course from Jeffrey Kunde, he emphasizes how to approach practice, sound team, and worship leaders in a way that honors the Lord and the church.
Beyond that, Jeffrey shares his thoughts on tone and playing style. Electric guitar shifts roles depending on if you have 1 or 2 players on stage. Learn how to shift parts and dynamics depending on the role you are playing within a set: lead, rhythm, or both.
COVERED IN THIS COURSE:
- The attitude of the electric guitarist on stage
- Dialing in your tone and working with the sound team respectfully
- The C-A-G-E-D system for more chord inversions up the neck
- The role of the lead guitarist
- How to adjust your playing if you're the only electric guitarist on a worship set

How we’d use it: Anyone can learn a new song on their own time—no more scrambling to swap parts on Sunday.
Quick Skill Boosters Example: 3–5 minute videos like “Thumb vs. Fingerpicking” “Three Tips for Stronger Harmonies” or “Stage Presence 101.”
How we’d use it: Team members can grab a coffee and knock out a tip video between services.
