The Role Of Worship

Darlene Zschech

Music has always communicated things as nothing else can. It is the greatest story-teller.

  • When a heart that has been lost and is now found is trying to express the inexpressible; and you come and give that heart a song, a melody, and a way to let the cry come out, THAT is worship!
  • My response to the great love of God in my heart was a NEED to worship. It wasn’t an option. Not just in song, it was a need to serve. I found a need to be around those that understood the presence of God.
  • Rev. 1:5:
  • To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, TO HIM be glory and dominion forever and ever.

You are part of the great miracle of giving glory TO HIM!

  • We were not designed to receive glory; it will blow you up. We were designed to BRING glory to him.
  • When we lift up and exalt Jesus above all things, we invite the dominion of His Kingdom to be established.
  • Acts 2 was a return of what had been lost in the garden: The Presence of God; the person of the Holy Spirit.
  • We get to have access to His Presence at any time!
  • There are people who are ACHING for someone to lead them in worship; for someone to take them into the courts of Heaven.
  • To worship in the light is a joy-filled act of faith, but to worship in the dark is a faith-fueled act of war.
  • If your presence doesn't come with us, we’re NOT GOING.
  • Zeph. 3:17
  • The Lord your God is in your midst. The mighty one will save. He will rejoice over you with gladness and he will quiet you with His love. He will rejoice over you with singing.
  • There is so much available to us as we continue to step into the Lordship of Christ.
  • Worship gives the ability in the midst of chaos for the joy of the lord to be your strength. It causes noise to cease, fears to be quiet and faith to rise.
  • The Lord will cause righteousness and praise to spring up! Isaiah 61.
  • Maybe--just maybe--the purpose behind all of our worship is greater than what we could have ever imagined.
  • As we behold Him in his beauty, we are changed to be like Him. And as we are changed to be more like Him, everywhere we go we take His presence. And where His presence is there is "fullness of joy".
  • We were made to love and include.
  • We were made to declare the sovereignty of Jesus.
  • Worship includes; music excludes.
  • How often have we lost our dominion, choosing comfort over calling?
  • His presence is what our world needs.
